Why Fiber Is Sexy
I’ve been saying for years, and will continue to say forever; fiber is SEXY, ladies! It helps you look sexy and literally drags the toxins out of your body so you feel sexy.
So, what is fiber?
Fiber is part of a carbohydrate and is the only part that can’t be digested by the body. Instead, it goes through the digestive tract and because it’s a heavy substance; it brings toxins, sugar, fatty acids and bad cholesterol with it to eliminate.
Fiber is also the only part of the carbohydrate that doesn’t turn into sugar in the body. I know this can be slightly confusing and a little intimidating; I can see your thoughts along the lines of “but I need to eliminate sugar, so that means I can have ANY carbs”. While all carbs turn into sugar in the body, it’s just a matter of how long. Fiber actually slows down the sugar-turning process; which is why fruit is always a healthier option than candy or straight sugar.

The last, crazy, fun fact I have for you regarding fiber is that it literally makes calories disappear, which is why it helps with losing weight. I’m actually serious! Studies have shown that women who double their fiber intake from 12g to 24g consume 90 calories a day less than those who didn’t double their fiber intake. That’s 9.4 lbs per year lost!
